Linux dev tools on CCS6 installation failure

Hi, I am trying to install Linux dev Tools, from App center, on a Linux installation of CCS 6.1.1.00022.

After the license agreement the installation fails and a message tells me to look at the Error Log.

The problem is that I don't find this log and I don't know why I cannot install the Linux Dev Tools.

Moreover if I try to install the Sitara dev tools I get the following message: "The installation cannot be completed as requested."

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi,

    I was able to install the Linux dev tools in both my CCSv6.1.1 and CCSv6.1.2, therefore ruling out any server or intrinsic problems.

    Therefore I can suggest you to check a few details;
    - If you installed CCS as superuser, any updates will require you to run CCS as superuser as well, including the App Center ones.
    - Check if any of the directories shown under the menu Help --> CCS Support contain the update error logs.

    What are the "Sitara dev tools" you mention above?

    Regards,
    Rafael
  • Thank you Rafael.

     Today I started the CCS as superuser (but I am pretty sure I do it last time too) and after a long update process which started automatically, now I see the Linux dev Tools updated.

    I mean the Sitara device support in the  repository: (software-dl.ti.com/.../Updates).

    In any case the linux dev tool in what I need now.

    Thank you
