VSS plugin needed for CCSv6

Plugin version 1.6.2 worked with CCS v5 but not with v6.

Should I forget about v6 or my plugin is too old?

Where can I get the right one tested for v6?

Hello Mohsen,
VSS plugin version 1.6.2 is likely too old for CCSv6 since that version of the plug-in supports Eclipse 3.x and CCSv6 is based on Eclipse 4.x.

You can try v1.7.0 of the plugin, which does support 4.x
vssplugin.sourceforge.net/

Now I am a little concerned about compatibility since it says the plug-in supports Eclipse 4.5. CCSv6.1.x is based on an earlier version (Eclipse 4.4) so I'm not sure if that will be an issue....

Thanks Ki for your quick response. Copying that jar file into the Eclipse plugin directory does not work. I cleaned up everything and ran a few more scenarios too but to no avail. This keeps legacy customers from upgrading to CCSv6 though.

I tried installing the plug-in via "Install New Software" feature in CCSv6.1.2. It is not recognized as a supported software. I looks like you do need at least Eclipse 4.5. The next update of CCS (v6.1.3) will be based off Eclipse 4.5. It should be released end of March. You will have to wait until then to use the plug-in with CCSv6.

CCSv6.1.3 has been delayed to mid-April
