CCS/TMS320F28035: How to disable CCS network connection?

I am asking this for our customers.

Our customer uses CCS 7.4 to build F28035 codes.

They found during code building, it takes about 4x times longer when their PC are connected to company network than to personal 4G network or than disabling network.

It appears CCS was trying to connect to outside (TI servers?) and their company network proxy was trying to monitor or block them.

This troubles many engineers in the company because their working efficiency is getting worse especially when the code is getting larger, and it's hard for them to ask their internal IT to make exception for only CCS.

Therefore, our request is that.

As CCS is offline and already installed in their PC, is it possible to disable all the CCS network automatic connection?

If so, how do they disable all the CCS network connection when they use CCS?

Please show us in detail how to disable the network connection on CCS.

They are aware that they are responsible to update CCS, compilers, etc manually when they need it.

    I assume you are asking for a way to block only CCS from making network access while the PC remains on the network. There is no easy global setting for this. I suppose one option is to use the workaround described below:

    I assume you are asking for a way to block only CCS from making network access while the PC remains on the network. There is no easy global setting for this. I suppose one option is to use the workaround described below:

     

    Yes, we would like to disable all CCS automatiic network connection. 

    However, I cannot relate the above link you set to CCS 7 or CCS 8.

    That is, I do not see the setting on CCS 7/8.

    Would you please make it clearer where the settings are in CCS 7.x or CCS 8.x?

    At the same time, we would try to confirm if the workaround the other posts show can be applied on our side.

    This setting is available on both CCSv7 and v8 under 'Window -> Preferences'

    Thank you for your information.

    This customer's antivirus is also from TrendMicro....

    After testing, we find disconnecting CCS network automatic connection showed in the last post does not help.
    Instead, the workaround other posts mentioned (that you also mentioned in the beginning) works.

    That is, by manually disabling Makefile auto-generation in the setting (in Project->Property->Build/Builder ) and then remove the SHELL=cmd.exe in the Makefile that has been generated.
    This is somewhat troublesome, but can be a workaround at this moment.

    Would you please show us if there is any other side effect if we manually remove SHELL=cmd.exe in the Makefile?

    If we don't add or remove any new file like .c, .h, .lib in the project and code building, we can just use the existing Makefile with SHELL=cmd.exe deleted and it's not necessary to re-generate the Makefile.

    Is our understanding correct?

    No.
    We have concern that may changed something about the Windows system and network.
    Also, we are still confused if TrendMicro is really the culprit.
    When we changed to the user's own 4G cell phone, everything works well, and we also confirmed the network of the user's own 4G cell phone was much slower than the company's network if we used browsers to connect to other web sites. That is, by using the user's cell phone 4G, there was still TrendMicro, but the building time was much slower.
    Whether the culprit is related to TrendMicro or the company's proxy, it's hard for us to change that.

    Therefore, the user decided to use his own 4G cell phone or disable company's network for a while when using CCS as a workaround now.

    Anyway, thank you very much, and we will close this issue.
