Cannot Select CCS Projects for a System Project

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hello,

I have two separate projects for CPU1 and CPU2 which build and debug fine but it would be good to manage it as a single project as per the System Project concept. I followed the instructions here:

https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/application_notes/appnote-system_project_debug_launch.html

However, when it comes to associating projects to CPU1 and 2, the drop-down box is empty:

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

Note that the device variant specified for both the system project and the projects being associated to it mush match exactly. Please make sure this is the case.

    For example:

This is the variant specified in my system project:

And for the project I am trying to associate with it:

One common issue is that some of the C2000Ware examples will use a variant like "Generic 28xx Device" or one for a specific controlstick or kit. Unless the same exact variant is also used in the system project, there will be a mismatch.

    Thanks

    ki

  • You nailed it!

I had selected F28379D instead of F28377D. In my defence, we are using the 79 for development and 77 for production so got a little mixed up.

    Thanks for your help.
