Hi all

We use XDS110 to connected target and load program is OK,

when we use XDS200 to connected target ok but loading program is stuck on

How to solve this issue?

(1)XDS200 Test Connection pass

(2)XDS200 Loading program stuck on @ linux CCS 11.1

(3)XDS200 Loading program stuck on @ windows CCS 11.1

Hi Andy,

I have a question for you:

If you are using the AM263x CC, how do you connect a XDS200 JTAG to the board. There is one USB micro connect for JTAG and UART in AM263x CC.

My guess is that the CCS 11.1 does not have the XDS200 support ready for AM263x. The XDS100 on the other hand is supported because it is on the AM263x CC.

We connect XDS110/XDS200 with our customer board by JTAG.

Could TI provide patch for XDS200?

Hi Andy,

I just found out the JTAG for AM263x has to be set to low frequency like 1Mhz to make it work (even for XDS110 the default 5.5Mhz will not work). Please try to reduce the frequency for your XDS200 to lower frequency and try again.

Hey Andy,

External XDS200 is supported by CCS and AM263x.

FYI on an existing bug with CCS: https://sir.ext.ti.com/jira/browse/EXT_EP-10638

This will be fixed in CCSv11.2 but in the meantime the workaround is:

-Launch a CCS debug session

-Connect to the R5 core

-Enter: "symbol_loader=1" in the Expressions view

-Load the program
