Error installing older C2000Ware software in CCS11

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

I am trying to install an older version of C2000Ware. And recently started getting an error like below.
In comparison DigitalPower_SDK installs normally. Is it possible that this is some kind of configuration error in me?

I managed to solve the problem by installing the needed packages from the Internet (dev.ti.com/.../explore), but maybe there is a trick to fix the error.

I'm using CCS11 on Windows 11

  • I found something that might help. The folder I downloaded from the Internet is C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Software.

Interestingly CCS expects the name "C2000Ware_3_04_00_00" in the project, so I changed it to that. When I changed the name Resource Explorer was able to do the download and installation of C2000Ware, the installation was in the folder "C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Sotware".

My hypothesis. The error must be during installation, because the downloaded folder is C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Software and it wants to install C2000Ware_3_04_00_00 and the above error occurs, when the destination is the folder C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_00 then CCS installs C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Software peacefully.
Even when I try to uninstall C2000Ware from within CCS it removes me not the folder that installed C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Software itself but removes C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_00.

Unfortunately I can't tell how to fix it, currently I have two folders next to each other with the same content only with two names C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_00 and C2000Ware_3_04_00_00_Software

  • Hi,

Will take a look at it . In the meantime, can you try installing the desktop version of C2000Ware instead of using the one from dev.ti.com?

    Best Regards

    Siddharth

  • This one works correctly, thanks.

But like I said, I was more concerned with highlighting the error.
