Target Configuration for multiple DSPs on a single JTAG chain

Hello Ki,

We are able to connect to the first DSP in the chain by attaching the emulator to the TDO line of the first DSP.  This gave us some confidence that the hardware is good and that we could be dealing with a CCS configuration problem.  Are there special settings in either CCS or the emulator settings (XDS560v2)?

Are you only able to connect to the first DSP of the first C6678 device? What CCS version (provide the full CCS version number) are you using?

So far we have only been able to attach to the first DSP in the chain.  We are using CCS 5.01.

Just as an update, we were able to connect to 3 of the 4 DSPs.  So we are leaning back in the direction of a hardware issue.

Also, I am getting the following error after loading the GEL file:

Device driver: Cannot acquire emulator process

Possible conflict for device driver usage

(Error -1044) @ 0 (0x0)

This error is repeatable and only seems to happen on DSP #2.

Any ideas what might cause this?

Thanks for the suggestion, Ki.  We tried that and did not see much of an improvement on the 4th DSP, however it improved stability of the others. 

It appears that one of our DSPs is either faulty or has a cracked solder ball.  Thanks for your help!
