ROV returns "Error" on connecting target

Hi,

I would like to know if there is a possible CCS12 configuration issue with my recent CCS12 installation that is causing an "Error" when launching the ROV and connecting the target ??

There is briefly some basic activity after clicking on connect, but then it returns "Error" without further indication of the problem ...

The target is a C5505 based platform, using DSP/BIOS 5.42.2.10 anc CGT 4.4.1 All compiles and links, emulates and runs correctly using an XDS200 type emulator.

thanks for any suggestions. mike

  • Hello

The target is a C5505 based platform, using DSP/BIOS 5.42.2.10 anc CGT 4.4.1 All compiles and links, emulates and runs correctly using an XDS200 type emulator.

The current ROV will not work with this environment.

You can try "ROV Classic" however (which is also under the "Tools" menu).

    Thanks

    ki

  • Hi Ki,

ROV classic does function correctly, no worries. However will the other ROV be functional with this environment sometime in a future version ?

Otherwise where can I find out what environment will/will not work with some of the features in CCS12 etc. (so that I can avoid posing these type of questions) please ?

    thanks and regards,mike

No. The target and BIOS version you mentioned are very old and no longer supported.

Otherwise where can I find out what environment will/will not work with some of the features in CCS12 etc. (so that I can avoid posing these type of questions) please ?

The release notes for the product is a good start. However, it will not tell the whole story. Any further questions about this can be posted in is forum.

    Thanks

    ki

  • No. The target and BIOS version you mentioned are very old and no longer supported.

I should clarify that C55x has been deprecated in support but still supported to a degree. DSP/BIOS, however, is no longer supported.
