Cannot set break points in hello.c when hello.c is located in a vmWare shared folder

I am running CCS 5.0.2 on a Ubuntu 2.6.32-30 Linux VMware Player virtual machine with a Windows XP host.  I have a vmWare shareable directory on the XP machine where I have put hello.c while the rest of helloWorld: helloWorld.cfg, .project, .cproject, .ccsproject, etc; resides in an eclipse workspace located on the Ubuntu "local" file system.  I have modified the HelloProject to have a linkedFolder to hello.c.

Using the CCS debugger, I can load, run, step through the C instructions and view variables and expressions in hello.c but I can't set a break point unless I move hello.c into a local directory on the Linux virtual machine and rebuild helloWorld.

My target is the C674x in the dm816x.
