I've been working at getting multiple installations of CCS to recognize the launchpad. I've installed and had several versions of CCS running just fine. However, the MPS430 is either not an option listed on my screen where the directions show it, or the directions indicate a url which CCS finds invalid and won't follow. I followed ALL the inconsistent directions I've found on the TI site. I've googled for a solution to no avail.
Am I right in understanding that there is no version of CCS that has the capability to install the MSP430 "emulator" AND run on linux?
<edit> Ok, answered my own question. No support for MSP430 with linux in CCS5.1. They really should put NO SUPPORT FOR MSP430 CHIPS very prominently beside the hyperlink to the linux version. Honestly, one of the best selling products TI has and CCS doesn't support it. What a disappointment.
