Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to load the u-boot into beagel board 's NAND flash or in omap3530 board using code composer studio 5.1 through JTAG . Any flash writers are required . Tell me the procedure .

In addtion to Ki's suggestion, when you build u-boot it should create an ELF formated image as well as a binary image. You should be able to download the ELF image with CCS and run. Once it is running then you can use the u-boot commands to erase NAND, download the binary image over UART, TFTP, etc and flash. Cheers Jon

Hi,

I gone through it also done procedure . But we need the loading the u-boot through JTAG using the code composer studio v5.1 .

Hi Jon,

I tried like loading u-boot elf image into arm side in my beagle board . But it is showing " Target not run as symbol main not defined". But with the small hello world program i can load successfully and also run it. Please see screen shot to know the error.

You can ignore that error. What it means is that CCS is configured to autorun to ' main' on a program load but the program does not have main so CCS will not autorun. Once you load the program, just manually run it yourself.

Hi ki,

I can able to load the u-boot elf into beagle board and successfully i can run.But I tell me how load the x-loader into beagle board using JTAG using Code composer studio v5.1 i tried loading x-loader elf into beagle board but not successful.

Can I ask how did u build u-boot and also, which boot parameters did u use during loading to RAM? Did u have SD card plugged in during this proces? Can u explain how to do this step by step? I am trying for a long time but with no success.
