Using CCS5.1 and SYS / BIOS and having cfg Error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Hello

I created a new project by selecting : EMPTY RTSC PROJECT

Then I configured my platform as c6678 and checked on the sign for Using SYS/BIOS .

In the RTSC window I check other tools needs for me like : XDAIS , PDK_...6678L
,DSPLIB , etc

When finishing the operation and made apply / ok / save my project Generated But I got an error
saying that .cfg  file is missing .

THE ERROR IS :

This project does not
contain a buildable RTSC Configuration (.cfg) file. In order for it to build,
this project must contain one RTSC Configuration file that is not excluded from
build.

My questions are as follows :

1)

The .cfg should not build automatically
when checking project using RTSC?

2)
The .cfg should not build automatically when checking on the box SYS / BIOS inside the RTSC window ?

3)
Should I manually build my own .cfg file ?If yes how to it ?

4)
What is the different between
using or not using SYS / BIOS ? Is it true that when using the SYS/BIOS tool
then the lnk.cmd is generated automatically and no need for linker.cmd file too  ?

5)
Could U point out for good link
for generating .cfg file and linker.cmd file for a new project ?

Regards

When you select "Empty RTSC project" it simply creates a RTSC enabled project but it is still empty. You would need to create your own RTSC configuration file to add to it or you can use one from a SYSBIOS example template as a starting point.

You can, if you want to, but for a new user, it is best to start with one of the SYSBIOS example templates that appear in the new project wizard.

Yes, when using SYSBIOS the linker command file is generated automatically. You only need to provide the RTSC configuration file and in most cases no special linker command file is needed unless you have specific customization requirements.

There are several good getting started documents and resources on the Embedded Processors wiki. Here are a few to help get started:
