I' ve installed the code composer and I set up the server. I can run the Code composer on the PC that the server resides but when I try to run from another PC I can't. What do I have to do on the PCs on the net to recognize the server?

Hi Arye,
have you followed this wiki and checked that the ports are allowed through the firewall?
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/License_Server_Administration_for_CCS
On the remote machine .. how did you configure CCS? Ie how did you try to point CCS to the server? Any furhter details would be great.
Best Regards,
LIsa
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the quick response. I could not find any information what do I need to set up on the remote machine so right now I did not configure any thing. Can you tell me what do I need to configure on the remote machine.
Best regards Arye
Hi Arye,
on the remote machine it is mostly a matter of CCS setup. When CCS asked you about the license, what did you enter? How did you set CCS up to find the server?
Best Regardds,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
The CCS I put on a server that every body can have access to it. It is not on the individual remote machines. So when I ran the CCS it did not asked for a licence. Do I need to put the CCS on each remote machine.
Yours Arye
Hi Arye,
ok, are you sure you have a floating license? Do you know how many seats?
There are different things going on here.
1 - if you have a floating license, you need to have a license server and the TI vendor daemon running. This is described on the wiki I sent you.
2 - no matter how CCS is accessed, ie running on a server/pc multiple users access, CCS needs to be able to find the license server. When CCS was installed, upon the first start it should have asked for a license to be setup. You can relaunch this license manager by going to Help->Code Composer Studio Licensing Information ... the Upgrade tab. This is where you need to point CCS to the server.
Any further details will help.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Arye,
