Importing a CCS project

Hi,

I am using EVM6678 from advantech. It is based on TMS320C6678. I am trying to import the project "hello world" that is available in the MCSDK\examples\ndk. The error message that appears to me is " Error: Import failed for project 'helloworld_evmc6678l' because its compiler definition is not available. Please install the C6000v7.4 compiler before importing this project." So, I did. I installed the most updated compiler, but is v7.4.1 using "check for update" command under the "help" menu. The same error message appears.

Can anyone advise me about this?

Hi Mahmood,

how did you try importing the project? Just to confirm you using Project->Import existing CCS/Eclipse Project. If you go to Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Build->Code Generation Tools what C6000 compilers do you see? What version of CCS and what OS do you use?

Hi Lisa,

Thank you very much for the hint. The problem is solved now. I noticed, after I opened Window menu -> Preference -> Code Composer Studio -> Build -> Code Generation tools, that the tool discovery path for the compiler was not added. After adding it, everything went fine.
