Using the XDS100V2 with multiple C6678's

Hello,

Has anyone successfully used the XDS100V2 with multiple C6678's? I am working Advantech's DSPC-8681E which has 4 C6678's and a 60-pin JTAG connection so a 60-pin to 14-pin adapter would be needed. Has anyone tried using the XDS100V2 with this specific card? How much slower is the XDS100V2 compared to the XDS510 or XDS560?

Regards,

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

I can't say I have any experience with this specific card. But I can comment that the XDS100v2 is quite a bit slower than the XDS510 and XDS560. I don't have any specific numbers but it is several magnitudes of order slower. The old adage of "you get want you pay for" apply here. An XDS100 is much cheaper than a XDS510/560. And it is much slower too. But for basic debug, it should be fine. If you are working with loading large programs and loading/saving large amounts of data to/from target memory, it can be a bit of a pain.

    Thanks
