How do I correct the error caused by "Check for Updates?"

Why can I no longer check for updates in Code Composer Studio?  I clicked Help --> Check for Updates.  It ran like it normally would.  I agreed to restart Code Composer Studio as normal.  Then during the rest of the installation, an error occured.  When ti_msp430pack_setup_5.4.0.2.exe was running the error reads, "bad end of central directory record."  See images inserted below.  Now I can no longer check for updates.  How can I correct this?  How can I avoid this problem in the future?
