RE: EABI support for MSP430

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET

Same problem over here. I am working with 5529, MSP-FET, CCS 5.2.1 and  USB Developers Package 3.20 and it doesn't work  in EABI/COFF. I am using under Windows XP and a pop-up message occurs as "USB Device not recognized". In step-by-step mode, the code crash after enabling the general interruption and then the Windows message shows up.

In the past I have used CCS 4.2.5, same hardware, and never had any issue. I am not sure if I didn't migrate my code properly... Is there any development on this situation ? Thanks

  • Hi Cedric,

first, just a note it is always better to put new items in a new thread.  It helps us give more timely and efficient support.

To your issue.  Could you please clarify ... are you having trouble connecting to your FET/board?  Or are you having problems with your project?  The message about  device not recognized has nothing to do with the project.  I would also strongly recommend using the latest version, v5.4.  (i would install as a full fresh parallel installation with antivirus disabled)

    Some common connection issues include

    - dll version

    - permissions

    - antivirus

    -drivers

Have you seen this wiki and checked the dll version?

  • Hi Cedric,

just thought I would check for updates to your enquiry.
