Licensing with XDS200

Hello, in the CCS user guide I found the following note: 'The "Limited 90-day period" language in the CCS installer license agreement applies only for the case of using high-speed JTAG emulators ...' Is XDS200 JTAG emulator considered to be a "high speed JTAG emulator"? And if so what would the fee be for registering CCS? Thank you! Regards, Martin

XDS200 is considered a "high speed" emulator. To use it beyond the 90-day limit, you would need a full (node-locked or floating) license.

The only exception is if you are using the XDS200 on-board emulator (basically integrated on to a board) or the XDS200 mezz card emulator. Those can use the free kit license.

I see. But even though I am using XDS100v2 CCS keeps counting down the days left for using the trial version. Will I have to uninstall the other JTAG drivers? I had them checked during installation. Thanks, Martin

Hi Martin,

For XDS100, there is a different license mode that you change by going to :

HELP -> CCS Licensing Info -> Upgrade -> Launch License Setup -> select XDS100 free license
