TMS320C6671 Target Configuration JTAG Chain

While creating a new target configuration for a TMS320C6671 I notice that TI's default configuration shows two cores in the device. See image below. I'm wondering why...the 6671 is a single core device or am I misunderstanding the configuration?

Hi Gary,

I believe the 667x series is part of the multicore keystone family.

The 6671 is part of the multicore keystone family, but this particular variant only has a single core...so I didn't expect to see two cores in the target definition.

For example the 6678 has eight cores, and all eight cores show up on the JTAG chain.

This appears to be an error in the default C6671 target definition, or I'm misunderstanding the target definition chain.

Gary - you are correct, a C6671 has only one C66x core. It looks like the device xml file for C6671 is incorrect. I suspect they copied the one for C6672 (since the files are identical) and then forgot to modify it for one CPU. Thanks for reporting this and i will file a bug.
