Energia & CCS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3200, ENERGIA

I posted in another forum because it had to do with CC3200 but I suppose this is a more appropriate place.

Is there currently a bug that prevents the current version of CCS from importing and debugging Energia projects?

  • Hi,

    From your original post:
    1) CCS works with .ino files. This change was made to reduce the confusion among developers familiarized with the Energia environment.

    2) As markel mentioned, can you check the thread below?

Also, if you are using Energia 16, unfortunately this version is not compatible with the offline version of CCSv6.

    Hope this helps,
    Rafael
  • For those who don't need their hands held is there no way to convert the project to CPP as with previous versions? I would much prefer this.

When you say Energia 16 isn't compatible with CCS (and I have no idea what you mean by offline version), what does this mean? As described I was able to import projects from Energia into CCS6 seemingly without error. It imports and builds without issue. However I can't debug them, it won't connect to target. The link you sent me to describes a different problem that I'm not experiencing. I do not have issues with grayed-out debug icons or anything like that. I simply get the error message "Cortex_M4_0: Error connecting to the target"
