CC6.2 and segger J-link edu version

Hello,

i'm working a lot with TI products and after some time i switched do KEIL and now decided to also include CCS into development process because it's based on Eclipse.

I saw that CCS6.1 does support the Jlink interface (im using Jlink EDU).

On segger site, some information can be found that segger is cooperating with TI to improve jlink and overall segger products support.

For now, is in CCS 6.2 license will be required for debugging thru segger? Right now i'm able to download the code thru j-link edu version using CCS but not to debug the code in, how about in the future?

Hello,
CCSv6.2 will have official (tested) support for J-Link. However you can try using it with CCSv6.1.x. It may not be officially supported with that version, but there should be basic debugging support with it. Any questions should be directed to Segger:

thank you for answer. I'm trying to use jlink with CCSv6.1.2 - when i try to debug the code i got message:

Do i really need the license for Jlink? I can't find any info

Yes, J-Link is not covered under the default "free limited license". You would need a full license or the time based evaluation license.
