Where is MSPWare on OSX CCS 6?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSPWARE

I have installed Code Composer Studio 6.1.3.00033 on my Mac.

From within CCS, I have installed MSPWare.  When I look at the "installation details" it states that MSPWare for Mac OS X 3.30.0.18 is installed.

But where is it?  I cannot find the examples, projects, etc.

If I pull up the Resource Explorer, it is blank (see screenshot).  Note the messages at the bottom of the screen (Waiting for file ...)

The only selectable item in the Resource Center is the +folder, which wants me to add and browse to the top directory of an install package.

So where did the MSPWare go, and why does the Resource Center not show anything?

Any advice is appreciated.

Mac is OSX 10.11.4

  • I had the same problem.

I found the MSPWare package in:

    /Applications/ti/ccsv6/eclipse/Eclipse.app/msp430/MSPWare_3_30_00_18

Adding this "MSPWare_3_30_00_18" folder to the "Package Configuration" (using  "+folder" in the Resouce Explorer) worked for me.

  • Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As posted by Richard, the MSPWare package is not installed to the expected main level directory, but rather inside the /eclipse directory. The workaround of adding the package directory manually to Resource Explorer will allow you to browse and use the example from within Resource Explorer.

I have filed a bug report CCDSK-1999 to track the issue with MSPWare not getting installed to the expected directory.

  • Thanks.  I just checked, and it is located as listed above.  I had hunted around the App packages, but didn't think I needed to traverse down the Eclipse hierarchy!

In the meantime, I installed MSPWare as a separate app, which installed it in the proper location (under Applications/ti) and it found it. So now I've got two installs of it.

Related question -- is there any way within the Resource Center to see where a given resource maps to? And/or to uninstall it? I have some other items I "added" to the resource center in my learning my way around it that really don't belong there. and cannot figure out how to delete them.

From the Resource Explorer Home Page, if you can click on the link "Configure Resource Explorer to discover examples,..." it should show the packages that were manually added, and you can remove them from there.
