Problem with interfacing signum's JTAGjet-ebinder with DM644x

HI,

I am using DM644x board from spectrum digital.The u-boot in the flash memory gets corrupted and i need to flash it again.

I am using the JTAGjet-ebinder Emulator from SIGNUM systems to flash the NAND.Once the JTAG is interfaced with

the board,the JTAG led in the emulator doesn't glown and showing as "Target power not detected".The JTAG is properly interfaced with PC.

I am new to this ccs and JTAG emulators.Please help me to overcome this problem.Provide me some detailed description for this problem.

Hi Vinoth,

Did you try running the Signum emulator diagnostics? Can you confirm that both target and emulator are powered up?

Thanks for your reply.I had run the EmuDiag and for the jtag connection with Desktop its working properly.

But when i click the "JTAGtest" option its showing as "Do you want to set the JTAG parameters" if

i give ok means a window opens and in that window there is an option "Autodetect".

While i click that option its flashing as "Target power not detected".I had a doubt whether this

Signum's JTAGjet suits for the spectrum Digital's DM644xEVM.

Vinoth,

I am able to connect to a DM6446 EVM with my Signum JTAGJet. You may want to contact Signum directly for help. They were very helpful in getting me going when I had problems.

Ok.I will contact to them.Thanks for your suggestions.If you have any other inputs from your side please provide me.

I had connected the JTAG with usb of desktop and on the otherside i had interfaced with 20 pin emulation header of the DVEVM board.

After that i had opened the "Emudaig" and i connect with the desktop.Then the "Status" and "Host" leds are glown.

After that i had given the JTAGtest and it shows "Target power not detacted".Apart from this whether i need to do any other configurations

or settings.There is a 20 pin interface with a small pcb in one end of the jtag emulator to interface with the DVEVM .In that there are 4 dip swithches,whether i need to change

the switch positions.

Your "JTAG" led should be lit also if your board has proper power, even if you are not running "EmuDiag".
