Code Composer Studio Files

Hello,

I have inherited some software project developed in

Code Composer Studio v3. I am absolute newbie in

TI development tools and I have been trying to find

out content of the files which the project consists of.

A lot of files are clear for me but I don't know the content

and purpose of the files with following extensions:

*.d, *.cm, *.lkf, *.sbl, *.paf2. Please can anybody

tell me what are these files used for? Or can anybody

give me any link where to find the explanation?

wow... CCSv3 is quite old and it has been a long time sine I;ve seen those file extensions. Let's see....

for paf2 and lkf, see my old post below:
e2e.ti.com/.../328142

for sbl, see:
e2e.ti.com/.../20102

*.d - I can't recall it. Maybe if you can attach the file, I can look at it and remember.

*.cm - I don't recall this one either. Are you referring to a *.cmd file?

Hello Ki,

thank you very much for your answer. For me is especially
important the *.cm file, because this file is somehow used
by hex2000 utility. I attached the content of the *.cm file
below:

FBG4DSP0FIL.out

-I
-image
-zero
-byte

ROMS
{
EPROM1: origin = 0x003E8000, length = 0x6000, romwidth = 16, memwidth = 16, fill = 0xFFFF
files = {G4_DSP0_UNI.hex}
}

Is it possible that this file "says" to hex2000 utility, that
specified part of the on-chip FLASH memory should be
erased? Thank you for any ideas.

Ah, it looks like a hex utility command file. I'm used to an extension of *.cmd for it.

The utility is fully documented in the Assembly Language USer's Guide (Chapter 12)
