i am new to CCS and MSP modules. I cannot prefer lecensed versio of CCS. i am using a trial version. I dont fnd source codes in that version. please anybody mail me those codes. Your help will be greatly appreciated. rajputraghu10@gmail.com is my mail id.

Raghu,

As of CCSv7 there are no longer licensed and trail versions. You can simply download CCS and use it. It is available for download here:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Download_CCS

As far as example code for MSP430 this is part of the MSP430Ware package. You can access this from within Resource Explorer in CCSv7. When you import an example it will prompt you to download the package.

Thank you so much sir,

I did not found examples for MSP430AFE2XX in CCS7 version.
Only i got is BLINK LED.
My first project i MSP , where i must read current and voltage on ADC and use it further.
and Also TIMER.

any suggestions from you John sir ???

Raghu,

Code Examples are found under MSP430Ware -> Devices -> MSP430F2xx -> Code Examples -> MSP430AFE2x3 from the Resource Explorer, or the C files can be downloaded from the Tools & software tab from the MSP430AFE253 product page and directly inserted into a blank project.

Can we generate PWM DAC by using Timer_A in MSP430AFE253 ?

As i didnt find an inbuilt DAC in AFE253MCU ?

My application is to read analog input and current for some comparisons , and generate Constant Output Analog voltage 5V DC and 30mA of current.

Hi raghu,

You can output a Timer_A PWM signal from TA1 CCR1 (P1.1/P1.7) or TA2 CCR2 (P1.0/P1.6) to create a software DAC since there is not already one available on the MSP430AFE253. Please see TI-provided code example msp430afe_ta_19.c. You will need to use an op amp configuration to increase your output voltage to the specifications stated.
