Hi All

There are some of LM3S6918/LM3S6911 based power controller need to update firmware and program, however the ethernet interface is failed.

I found there is a 2*5 (10 pin) internal JTAG interface on the control card,so I would like to ask how to select the suitable device and method to compile.

what I have relative experience is using XDS110 to compile C2000 series develop kits in student period.

the below items are what I can acquire


1. LM flash programmer (use manual )

2. CCS compiler


1. MSP430

2. any recommand device

    Stellaris LM3S devices haven't been supported by us in many years, therefore our actions are limited.  

    That said, I am not entirely sure what you mean by "method to compile" - if you want to do actual code development to update the firmware on existing products, the safest way is to find information about the original development environment (version of CCS, compilers, Stellarisware, type of Debug Probe used) and replicate that. 

    If you only need to connect to the existing product and upload firmware, then you can use either the LM Flasher with an ICDI interface (XDS Debug Probes are not supported by this utility) or use CCSv6.2.0 (or older) and any XDS Debug Probe (XDS100, XDS200, etc.). The release of Code Composer Studio version 7.x dropped support for LM3S devices.
