CCS/CCSTUDIO: CCS v10.0 to v10.1 Update

Hello,

Help->About Code Composer Studio shows Version: 10.0.0.00010

However Collector project gives a warning saying: This project was created with a newer version of Code Composer Studio - v10.1.0. It is recommended you upgrade to v10.1.0.

Help->Check for updates returns No updates found.

Why cannot I upgrade CCS from v10.0.0.00010 to v10.1.0?

It is not a major update there shouldn't be a problem?

An incremental update for 10.1 has not been released. You will need to do a new full installation of 10.1 to get it.

It is hard to say definitely. You can try with 10.0. But if the project is relying on some new functionality introduced in 10.1, then you will need to update.

Will an update ever be released or will I still have to do a complete install of 10.1?

There are no plans for a 10.1 incremental update. However we are exploring the possibility of a 10.1.1 incremental update (our next release)
