CCS/TIDA-01281: TI XDS110/TMS320F28035 SC_ERR_XDS110_OVERCURRENT

Part Number: TIDA-01281
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28035

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I get the following error message when testing the connection of the TI XDS110 debugger with TMS320F28035.

[Start: Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe_0]

Execute the command:

%ccs_base%/common/uscif/dbgjtag -f %boarddatafile% -rv -o -S integrity

[Result]

-----[Print the board config pathname(s)]------------------------------------

C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\TEXASI~1\CCS\
PROGRA~1\0\0\BrdDat\testBoard.dat

-----[Print the reset-command software log-file]-----------------------------

-----[An error has occurred and this utility has aborted]--------------------

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

The value is '-269' (0xfffffef3).
The title is 'SC_ERR_XDS110_OVERCURRENT'.

The explanation is:
An overcurrent has been detected since the last time the XDS110 was power
cycled. Please check target connection to probe and power cycle the XDS110.

[End: Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe_0]

The physical connection from the probe to the board seems to be fine. Could this be an issue with the device/board itself?

Best regards,

Sandy
