Hi,

I want to configure DAC38J84EVM with the Xilinx Virtex-7.

Q 1) Should I program only DAC Register or also LMK Register Value?

Q 2) How to send SDIO, SCLK,SS data to DAC and LMK Present on DAC38J84EVM through SPI or FMC ?

Can I get Brief Details.

Hi,

A1: you will need to program both as LMK register provides the clocks necessary for the DAC38J84

A2: you may use the onboard CPLD to steer the SPI bus from either SPI from the FTDI chip or FMC connector.

Hello Kang Hsia,

Q1) If I used CPLD(J15) to Register configuration but how it will know which data for DAC and which data for LMK?

Q2) can I program DAC and LMK using DAC_SPI & JTAG and LMK_SPI Respectively, If Yes can I get J24 and J25 detail.

Q3) can you send me block diagram or connection picture(input/ouput) using Xilinx FPGA VC707.

Hi,

Our customers uses the attached RTL code to modify the CPLD to fit their DAC SPI and LMK SPI routing needs.

The configuration file saved by the DAC38J84 GUI have header stream indicating which lines of configuration file is LMK and which line is the DAC38j84.

We do not have specific example connections to VC707.
