CCS/TMS320C5505: CCS Connection

I'm a CSULB Electrical Engineering student taking a course in DSP Design (EE489: Digital Signal Processing Design), and a problem I'm encountering with my TMS320C5505 and Code Composer Studio v. 10 is that every time I insert it into my computer while CCS is running, the TI Resource Explorer isn't detecting it at all. For that matter, every time I start a new CCS project, I don't even know what connection I should be using.

Resource Explorer will not be able to detect all devices/board. It is mostly MCU devices that have this support.

The EZDSP stick should be using an XDS100v1.
