CCS/TIDA-00961: TMDSCNCD280049C

Part Number: TIDA-00961

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Since there is no prototype for sale, what do I need if I want to do some experiments?

Moreever, I found that the TMDSCNCD280049C-F280049C controlCARD Evaluation Module doesn't have 14pin JTAG, how could I connect it with my PC? I only have XDS100V3 now.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Bryce.

You will need some sort of hardware. If you have an existing totem pole PFC, perhaps that could be adapted. Otherwise all of the design files are included for the hardware. You can take that design and have it manufactured if you wish. If you do decide to remanufacture any TI designs please remove all TI logos and trademarks, as we do not certify the hardware that you would be building.

The TMDSCNCD280049C controlCARD has an embedded XDS100V2, no external emulation hardware or debug probes are required. Just simply connect the USB cable to your PC. If you wish to use an external debug probe that is made available on several of our baseboards, for example TMDSHSECDOCK has enabled this feature. It looks like TIDA-00961 does not have this functionality, but it should be OK as the embedded XDS100v2 is available for use.

  • Thanks for your reply.

I already have a totem-pole pfc, but some sensing circuits are not the same, just as the problems which I mentioned in another post. And some code adaptions seems to cause  big problems.

Thank you very much if you could give me some advice.

  • Bryce,

I have contacted the owner of that thread and asked them to respond. Please let me know if you have any other questions in relation to this thread.

I want to know if it is possible to borrow the propotype to do some testing?

And if I want to remake the propotype, the hardware I need is TMDSCNCD280049C * 1 +

    LMG3410-HB-EVM * 2 + Power Board * 1. Right ?

  • Bryce,

we do not typically loan hardware. Can you provide me a little more information on what application this is being used in and what your plans are with the hardware? Are you writing a research paper? Are you planning on designing an selling some system?

If you would like the information to remain private you can message me directly through this forum using the "messages" button in the upper right.

Correct, for this system you can purchase 1 TMDSCNCD280049C and 2 LMG3410-HB-EVM. The main board is not offered for sale, you would need to build that.

  • Hi, Cody

Yes, I am going to do some writing on Totem-pole PFC, so it is easier to test the existing propotype. And I am not sure if I can rebuild the propotype sucessfully.

    Thanks a lot.
