About electrical simulation for the bode plot of switcher pro.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SWITCHERPRO

Hi,

My customer have a question.

Result of Bode plot(Loop),

Is there a difference in the SwitcherPro and WEBENCH?

Best Regards,

  • Watanabe-san,

Since the two are different software solutions that use different equations and solving techniques, I would assume that there would be some differences between the two on an IDENTICAL circuit. Since both have been tested against data for the devices that are installed in the two software packages, I would not think that the differences would be too dramatic (for example, a design that is stable in one should be stable in another). The circuits created may be different for the same solution, however, due to the differences in the rules being used in the two packages.

We have seen good correlation between the two tools in the past, but we are currently only developing new solutions for WEBENCH®. I would use it in place of SwitcherPro if at all possible.
