TIDA-00822: Common Mode Voltage on ADS54J60

Part Number: TIDA-00822
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS54J60

Why is the ADC common mode voltage tied to the input on this board? The datasheet for the ADS54J60 says the inputs are already internally biased. Just making sure I'm not missing something. Thanks!

  • Charlesw,

This board provides options for the VCM output when using the amplifier in a DC application. One of these options is what you are pointing out. Bu default, this option should not be connected, as the input is AC coupled and the part is self biased. There should be a DNI on the resistor that is making this connection.
