PMP8817: request for design files (CAD)

Hi,

Customer of mine is building the phone charger based on PMP8817 and PMP9638 reference design

- Can you provide the design files (CAD) for both reference design?

- Can you advise the datasheet for transfomer RLTI-1083? or is there any other transformer can be used/recommend?

- regarding PMP9638, may I know if it can output 2.3A-2.5A current?

Thanks for your interest in these reference designs. You can find gerber files for both designs at the bottom of each page under the "Design Files" section:
www.ti.com/.../PMP8817.
www.ti.com/.../PMP9638.

The RLTI-1083 is from Renco Electronics. You can email them at engineering@rencousa.com for the transformer datasheet.

PMP8817 is not designed for 12V/2.5A output but it is possible to realize this with some modifications. You will want to confirm the transformer will be able to handle the higher primary and secondary currents. You will likely want a rectifying diode with a bit more margin than the 3.5A rated diode that is in this design. As a check, I would recommend using the design calculator for UCC28740. You can find a link to the calculator at the bottom of this page:www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware.

I apologize for lack for explanation.

Customer of mine not looking for gerber files. They are keen for the design files (or CAD files) which can be opened with Altium Designer (for example the CAD files in http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP4444. Do you have it?
