Hi TI Experts, 

I want to use TIDA-00088 to drive Laser Diode (P/N : LU0976M200).

But its operating current is 350mA, is there any TI Laser driver solution can work with it?

And I will replace the laser driver in TIDA-00088.

    Hi Derek,

    Thanks for your interest in TI's ONET solutions. Both of our 10G capable direct modulated laser drivers ONET1151L and ONET1101L can deliver a bias operating current of only 100 mA. Even our 10G external modulated laser drivers ONET1141L and ONET1131EC have a maximum bias current output of < 150 mA. We do not have any laser driver that can support 350 mA bias currents, sorry.

    Also, TIDA-00088 is a 10G SFP+ reference design module that has been designed to demonstrate the performance of our 10G optical parts ONET1151L, ONET8551T and ONET1151P. As such, it is not possible to replace the laser driver inside this ref design since the GUI is based on the ONET1151L. There are specific evaluation boards that you may use for testing our ONET parts, in case you are interested.
