TIDA-050011: Question about the mechanics of the reference design

Hi. We are developing a device that uses LEDs in a circular shape and we want to use the TIDA-050011 as reference. We would like to know which material was used right above the LEDs that creates this aspect of diffusion. Is that a common acrylic? And which is the material that is used around? Thank you!

Hi, Jorge,

You're correct. We use common white acrylic for the diffusion.

The black material around is also acrylic.

Hi, Kenneth, thank you for the answer! Just one more question: the black and white part are two different parts? Or is it a white acrylic with a black adhesive on top?

It's two different parts. And we connect them with glue.
