TIDA-00421: Internal Regulator selection

Hi,

We are using TIDA-00421 schematics (Mod. Date: 1/24/2017, Drawn by: Brian Shaffer) for one of our projects.

In TIDA-00421 reference design BPREGD pin is pulled LOW (DVDD is supplied with internal regulator).

In our design we are pulling BPREGD to HIGH since DVDD is supplied from external regulator.

AVDD_LO pin is decoupled to ground with  0.47uF capacitor only and no external power supply is connected to AVDD_LO as recommended in Omnivision datasheet.

We probed on AVDD_LO pin and it shows 0V. Whether we are supposed to connect AVDD_LO to external regulator?

Can you please clarify what is expected at AVDD_LO pin.

    Hi Bharati,

    And thank you for posting to our e2e forums.  I've looked into your request and noticed that the questions are directed at the OV10640 imager in one of our TI designs.  In parallel to this post, I would recommend you to additionally contact OmniVision support with your questions, as they may be able to provide more clarity or walk you through correct connection/power schemes with their device.

    For my understanding, I'm hoping to get a few more items to fully understand the differences between the TI Design that was published and your specific design.  Is it possible to upload the schematic of your design to this post so I may give it a complete review?  If you wish to keep it private, you can additionally contact me through e2e messages and add me as a friend.  I can then give you my email address for information exchange.
