TIDA-00069: Why I can't have the output from DAC

HI Ti,

I just do the project by using ADC4249, TSW1400 and DAC3482. and I want to use ADC receive the signal and than output to oscilloscope from DAC.

and I connect these three boards according to TIDA-00069. and than using HSDC Pro to download the firmware of TIDA-00069.

But the DAC dont have the output.

Can you help me?

    Hello Gary,

    I need a bit more detail from you to troubleshoot. At which step are you stuck? Also, what are the alarms associated in the DAC3482 GUI readout?

    For the DAC3482 alone (excluding ADC4249 and also the firmware discussed in the TIDA), please try to setup the DAC3482 per described in the DAC3482 EVM user's guide.This is the best way moving forward and eliminate a lot of variables. 

    I am not quite familiar with the TIDA-0069. Therefore, let's start with the DAC3482 EVM User's guide and test procedure and debug from there.

    Hello Kang,

    I follow the DAC3482EVM user guide for the test procedure. But I can'tprovide the 1228.8MHz clock to DAC, So I need to modifyt the test Configuration file. I can provide maxmium 24MHz clock, So How to setup the DAC3482 configuration?

    Hello Kang,

    I have another question about the ADS4249_DAC3482 interfaces(TIDA-00069).

    The QAR file I was download from SLAA545.

    and I just want to add the FIR IP core in this code. to achieve the function that ADS4249 receive the signal and then give it to the FPGA board, and FPGA do the low pass filter and then give it to DAC3482.

    could you please help me that how to add the FIR IP core in it?

    Hi Gary,

    Unfortunately, TI cannot help you with the FIR design or any FPGA design. You will need to contact the FPGA vendor for assistance.

    I know and I ask you because the program of the SLAA545 was wirtten by the TI.

    And I need some help about that programming.

    sorry, the firmware is given "as is". We cannot provide additional design recommendations. You will have to contact Intel/Altera for further support.
