  • Hi Steve,

In slave mode,I input analog signal from linein, but i can't find anything from lineout. And  i input external clock signal.

    In master mode, It works.

Please tell me why so that?  Thanks.

    best regards,

    Hai.

  • Hai,

In register 7,  you have the format set to I2S, but you have the MSB available on the 1st rising edge of BCLK,  this should be set to the Second.

I wouldn't expect that to cause the codec to not provide any output though.

can you provide a screen capture of your BCLK, WCLK, and DIN?  use the WCLK to trigger a single capture.

    best regards,

  • Hi Steve,

Thanks for your advice. In slave mode, from line input to line output, it works. I provide the external clock MCLK,BLCK,LRCIN and LRCOUT at digital interface J7 and select the button 'Dig loopback' at software AIC23 GUI 3.0. But i want to know the button'Dig loopback' how to work?thanks!

    best regards.

    Hai

  • Hai,

I've attached the user guide here,  it looks like there is a mux on the EVM that handles the loopback.  This is a really old EVM, and I don't have a Windows XP machine that runs the GUI anymore,  so my ability to recreate your setup is limited.

This is the schematic from the users guide.  that shows the Digital loopback and I/O on J7.   The buffers have Direction controls that come from the I2C connector too,  so you should make sure that the DIR pins are getting toggled.

    besr regards,
