TIDA-010042: Not desired switching to boost converter

Part Number: TIDA-010042

Hello,

During tests of assembled kit I discovered undiserable behaviour. After few seconds of work or after disconnecting power supply or after lowering the input power I observed high voltage on PV input (60-70V) and up to 3A current from battery. Sometimes it reaches even higher, causing the FETs to fail.

As salil explained, it is to be expected as Case3 in previous question.
Original software after switching to boost mode can not return to buck mode.

With trial and error method, I ensured that timers complete cycles before turning off/on buck or even changing duty. Since then I did not notice any unexpected boost behaviour.

I suspect this project doesn't work with original software, causing to costly damages in hardware. Shall it will be reviewed?
