Hi,
When I try to install PSpice for TI 2020 I get the following error:
What does this mean? How do I set-up a HOME variable?
Regards,
Viktor.
The Image didn't appear in the e2e post:
The error reads:
"Cannot proceed with the installation as the working directory set in HOME environment variable is invalid. Rerun the installation after setting a valid HOME environment variable."
Thanks,
Viktor.
Viktor,
Thank you for your interest in Pspice for TI.
We are sorry to hear you are having problems with your installation.
Pspice for TI does use a %HOME% variable path for placement of certain tool folders.
I am not certain how you would set that variable outside of the installation, but I will check and get back to you.
By the way, what operating system are you using?
Regards,
John
Viktor,
One additional question: do you have administrator privileges on the machine you are using for the installation?
Regards,
John
Hi John,
I am running Windows 10. I should have Admin access (It is a TI machine) and I also select the "Run as Administrator" option.
Regards,
Viktor.
Viktor,
If you open Windows Explorer and type "%HOME%" in the path field, what is the resulting path?
For example, after installing many Cadence products, it is C:\Users\<EmpID>\AppData\Roaming\SPB_Data
where <EmpID> is my employee ID.
Regards,
John
