TIDA-00195: Dead time value for half bridge power supply

Hi ,

In the application Note, It is mentioned that 50% duty ratio and 500khz signal needs to be used for half-bridge power supply. I would like to know the dead time value that you have used in this application note. Thanks in advance.

Hi Manikanta,

Thanks for looking into TIDA-00195. I just spoke to one of the designers. He recommends to start with 100ns for the dead time. Please note that this is just a good starting point. There were no qualification tests performed to verify it to be enough across all operational conditions or to minimize it to the absolute minimum.
