PSPICE-FOR-TI: Can simulate this power tree application?

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS560430

Hi Team,

My customer is designing the following power tree application, and wants to simulate the whole power tree application circuit.

Can PSPICE-for-TI simulate that whole application circuit?
They especially want to simulate the input inrush current value.
Thank you.

Best Regards,

Koshi Ninomiya

  • Koshi,

Pspice for TI should be able to simulate the circuit.

Some of the parts are already built into the tool, like the TPS560430 and the TLV73330, but other models  - the optocoupler and others- will need to be imported.
Please see the training videos for more information on importing models: training.ti.com/pspice-ti-introduction.

The transformers, diodes and MOSFET could be  quickly modeled with the tool's Modelling Application via Place/Pspice Component/Modelling Application, or the app's icon - .

Please be aware that by using  any imported models, the customer ill be limited to plotting the three curves in the simulation's results.

Models built from the Modeling Application will not trigger the three-curve limit.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards,
    John
