I have PSpiceforTI installed on my laptop but I get this error message frequently. It's related to a license.txt file which is not installed in the directory path referenced. How do I resolve this issue?

Thank you for your post and for your interest in Pspice for TI.
Please zip the files in the folder %APPDATA%\Cadence\PspiceforTIInstall\
- with the exception of TIPSpice.exe and cdsVbl.dll - into a folder and attach it to this thread.
The will be forwarded to the Pspice for TI vendor for their review and feedback.
I will contact you via a private message for the license.txt file.
Regards,
John
Thank you for the reply.
I will get the Pspice for TI vendor involved and get their feedback.
They should reply within 24 hours, and will most likely have some follow-up questions.
Regards,
John
While we are waiting on the Pspice for TI vendor's response, can you access the license file called out in the error message?
Regards,
John
I made a mistake in an earlier path. Apologies for that.
%APPDATA%\Cadence\PspiceforTIInstall\ should have been %APPDATA%\Cadence\PspiceTIInstall\
If this works, and the folder exists on your machine, please zip the files in the folder - with the exception of TIPSpice.exe and cdsVbl.dll - and attach it to this thread.
Also, if you search C:\Users\ for 'license.txt' , do you see a result?
Regards,
John
Please do an uninstall using the Windows Control Panel\Programs and Features, restart your machine, and then reinstall.
Please let me know how it goes.

John
I did uninstall the software then reinstalled it. The license issue has been resolved and I can simulate without that error. However, after simulation I was looking at the waveforms and wanted to remove the symbols from them. I chose Tools/Options and picked Never then OK. This is what happened. Are we users in the early debug phases of this software?
Pspice for TI is the result of a close collaboration between TI and Cadence for over a year.
The software you have is definitely not an early, or beta version.
Please look for the crash log in your %temp% folder. It should be in a subfolder with name like "Pspice", or "Cadence".
If it is there, please attach it to this thread and I will forward it to Cadence for their review and feedback.
If you did not restart your machine after the installation, please do do now, and let me know if you see the error message again.
Regards,
John
I always restart my PC when I install software. I found two files in my AppData/Local/temp/pspice90507703 folder. They are zipped and attached.
The Pspice for TI vendor reviewed the files and says it appears the installation did not complete successfully.
They suggest uninstalling the tool via the Windows Control Panel/Programs and Features, and then reinstalling the tool again.
Please give this a try and let me know how it goes.

John
I haven't reinstalled the software and don't think I will. I ran a simple simulation then tested a measurement function on a waveform. That feature worked fine. Out of curiosity I opened tools/options and selected the change that I had problems with before. Closed the panel and it didn't crash the program but changed the feature I had selected. I have no clue as to why it works now but I'll keep using it as is.
