Hi Experts,

1. I want to do an AC analysis for my Buck converter. For which I need an Average model of LM5116. It is available in Psipce. I am using the Tina12 Industrial version. How Can I import it into Tina12?

Currently, I tried it with the Transient model. I am getting the below error (Screenshot attached.). What is this error. And How to resolve it? I tried changing the analysis parameter too. Attaching the Simulation file as well.

2. The link is a good tutorial for learning. Although it doesn't show how to change parameters such as crossover frequency or doing measurements in webench. Can you tell me more about it?

Yes, you would need average model to run AC analysis and please find link below for LM5116 Unencrypted average available on WEB.

You may import this file to TINA-TI. Please find instructions here:

Hi Imran,

Thanks for your response. The Steps Shown are only applicable for.TSM Format. When I go to Insert->Macro, It is asking me to select a.TSM file. How to Import .lib files?

Please refer to page no.4. The sec heading is "Creating the TINA-TI macromodel".

Hi,

I watched the below Video "

Now I have .lib and .tld file. After saving them, I copied them to tina>spicelib. It is showing the component. But when I try to import, Getting the below error.

After clicking on yes, Its reappearing. How to resolve it?

Hi Tim,

Ok. I would also like to know how to set analysis parameters. I am facing convergence errors during the transient simulation of SMPS. (Can you suggest any document or video training?)

With regards to analysis parameters/convergence, you may please visit "Help" option to understand the analysis parameters which would guide you to set appropriate settings.

Hi,

I tried the simulation in both Tina Cloud and Webench. The results are not matching.

The Avg Model doesn't has all the pins. (I am attaching all Simulation files and results from both the simulations.) Please tell me what went wrong.

Also I want to know Why LM5145 is more time to simulate while other SMPS takes almost 1/30th of the time. Anything wrong with LM5145 Sim model? I also need the AVG model of LM5145.
