PSPICE for TI, external models, noise Analysis for OPA2830 and OPA2822

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2822, OPA211, OPA2830, TINA-TI

Hi,

I'm using the PSPICE for TI to simulate an analog circuit for noise comparison.

1.) I want to test the TI models OPA2822 and the OPA2830. For the OPA2822 there is no model available in the installation, so I downloaded it and imported it into PSPICE. It works but brings me the warning that this model is an external model. Which is true but it is an external TI model. When I want to make a noise analysis, the checkbox in the probe selector is grayed out. With an installed model such as the OPA211 it works fine.

Is noise analysis with external models possible or not? Even if the external model is a TI model from your Website?

2.) When I use the OPA2830 in the same circuit (from the installed libraries), the circuit is not working at all. The same happens when I download the model from the TI website and import it to PSPICE. In transient mode the model of the OPA2830 works fine, but I cannot use it for noise analysis due the non-working AC simulation. I tried also the simplest configuration like a voltage follower, supply is +5V and -5V.

Where is the error in my Simulation? Does the model not support AC mode analysis?

Thanks

Philipp
