  1. I got the below question:
  2.  I want to use Ultra Low Noise Op. AMP LMH6629 or LMH6624 instead of ADA4899, When I download PSPice mode I have to files inside *.MOD and *.txt .please advice witch file is fit to Cadence PSPice simulator and how can I convert current files to *.lib & *.olb
  • eli,

Use the *.MOD (The .txt is just explanation what is being modeled on *.MOD)

To convert to *.LIB simply change the *.MOD extension to *.LIB

To convert *.LIB to *.OLB, we can use the typical method that usually people use for Pspice. This could vary from people to people.

I usually use "Model Editor". Which pspice version do you use? If you don't have a way to create .OLB, let us know.

  • Dear Herman..

I try to change opa681.mod to opa681.lib as you mentioned..

But I can't read the library in ORCAD10.5.

Could you verify and convert attached file?

    5751.OPA681.lib

  • Avraka,

Yes, I am able to read the file. BTW, there should be no "conversion" in this case.

OPA681.MOD is just a text file, so you free to rename it with any extension such as OPA681.TXT, OPA681.LIB, OPA681.ABC, OPA681.XYZ, OPA681.ANYTHING.

Of course make sure once you rename it, you call the file accordingly in Orcad. Usulaly Orcad use .LIB, so I recommend just use .LIB, but you can use

.TXT as the extension if you want.

I have verified your file "as is" and yes I am able to run it ok.
