Photocoupler model for Tina TI

I do not see any issue with the import of the model to TINA-TI. This looks more like a model specific question. Since Vishay created the model, they would be the best ones to tell you why it is not working as you expect it to.

Did you try this model on your computer? does it work there?

Sorry I have limited knowledge of this.

I imported this macro using on-line instructions. When using it the photodiode part exhibits realistic behavior: diode starts conducting after ~1.5V.

The transistor part of the model always shows me short between collector and emitter.

Maybe I am doing something wrong in Tina?

Alternatively, can you post another model of Photo transistor or Optocoupler?

I am developing circuit using all TI parts that conditions optocoupler output. All the TI parts work Ok, only Optocoupler I can not find.

Hi Andrey,

It ran fine on my machine, but I do not know if the results were as expected as very little current was flowing between the E and C (~ 115mA without much variation with VIN across diode). As an alternate, you could use the optocoupler that is present in the UCC2895 schematic on the web. If you download the TINA-TI Transient reference design for this part from the product folder, you can simply copy the opto from there into your schematic.
