TINA/Spice: Virtual oscilloscope channel count limitation

Is there a limitation to the channel count for the virtual oscilloscope? I have a simple passive network with two VF nodes. In the oscilloscope under Channel, I only see the node VF1 present. VF2 does not appear as an option for either the trigger source or the vertical channel(s).

I could not replicate this issue with a simple circuit I was using. Could you provide the .TSC file you were using?

simple_divider.TSC

There is a drop down menu for both that show the VF1 and VF2 signals.

Hello Britt,

Thank you for the response to my query on the behavior of the virtual oscilloscope with TINA TI. Your .tsc did show two options for both Y channels and for trigger select as expected. My circuit some didn't exhibit that same options (I should have had 6 nodes available). Based upon the difference between these two similar circuits, I concluded that mine must have become corrupted somewhere along the way, so I started over, rebuilt the circuit and added the nodes of interest. This second .tsc, despite looking identical (in terms of the schematic representation) behaved as expected and all the nodes were selectable as Y inputs and trigger sources. I did run an error check on the first version, but none were detected, so I am at a loss as to the actual cause.

Thanks for the update. I have seen similar issues where the .TSC got corrupted and gave very strange behavior, but simply cutting and pasting the circuit into another empty schematic fixed the issue.

Hello Britt,

I will certainly try the cut & paste solution should I run across other 'strange' behaviors. That certainly is a more expeditious solution than recreating the schematic from scratch!
