TIDA-00423: Pick and Place file of the High-Speed Front-End for PCIe Gen-3 Cards Reference Design

Dear TI team,

our manufacturer needs the Pick and Place files of the TIDA-00423 reference design board, so he can start with the assembling of the pcb. Can you help us and send us the files?

I do not have the files. Could they create new files using the "top" and "bottom" gerbers?

Hi Lee,

I asked our manufacturer, but I don't think, that he can create these files from the gerbers. Maybe it could be possible with ODB++ files? Do you have those files?

Here is the .brd file for TIDA-00423, using this file I think you can create the pick and place information.

Hi Lee,

thank you for the .brd file. Since we don't use Cadence/Allegro, it's almost impossible for us to create any Pick&Place files from the .brd file. I allready asked our manufacturer, if he has a Cadence/Allegro licence... But it would be a hughe relief, if maybe someone of your company created the Pick&Place files from the .brd file.

Hi Frederick,

Since this board is a reference design only and a limited number of these boards were made, the pick and place was not generated. Normally pick and place file gets generated for regular evaluation boards.
